Hey guys I am working with an automotive relay and was trying to trigger the relay with a tapped fuse. My question is do I need to have a return to the battery for it to trigger. I don't think that the relay will trigger with just a feed from a tapped fuse.

If this is the case is there something in the cab that would be easy to get to rather then running a wire through the cab?

this is a 2012 si coupe

Thanks

You can return the feed to the battery through a ground bolt which is located throughout the cabin or you can make your own as the car's ground is the chassis itself by drilling a hole and making sure its metal to metal contact with a screw.

You sure can. Just make sure they run something like a light, etc before it goes back to the ground
