First time winter driver need advice !

I am moving to an apartment which has open parking. I'm in the coastal northeast.
Is there a cover recommended to keep the snow off?
I have a 5 minute commute, and can work from home, so hoping to manage with all seasons.
I may have to move elsewhere more sunny in a few months, and will have to sell my car off after 2 years, so not too sure about investing in a set of all winter tires.

You could use the car cover they make?
