Coilover question

would anybody know the purpose of this and if it’s really necessary to keep on. I can’t go lower unless this is removed. Just don’t know what it’s really for nothing is attached to it just kinda sitting on the strut.

Isn’t that the brake hose connection point?

It's the sway bar end link connection. You cannot remove it as the sway bar would not be attached to anything
