I don't believe it did, but really every surface of that motor that should have been protected by motor oil was worn beyond anything salvageable. The watered down oil really did the damage. The oil pan had an inch of metal sludge and shavings in it. Not good times.
Yeah three times. Drove twice and flew and rented a car last year.
My car had amsoil for I'd want to say 60,000 of those miles. The transmission was getting progressively louder and whinier. I had it rebuilt at 80k and all the bearings in it were damaged. They all feel "sandy" I still have...

Keeping on topic, I am very anxious to see how the OEM fluid performs. My bet is that it will get a glowing mark of approval from Blackstone.
