I know there is at least one other si driver who might be interested in a meet. Was driving on 77 north after work when a red 2012 si driver pulled up along side me and honked to get my attention just to give me a thumbs up! His si looked pretty good. Seemed to be lowered, cat back exhaust...
Thought I would pass on my experience with Jack Matia Honda in Elyria Ohio today. I brought my car in to have the rev hang software checked. The service department couldn't have been more helpful! They dropped what they were doing. Listened to my description and my request to hook up the...
Awesome! Looks great. If you ever hear some nut honking his horn at you around town it is probably me in my black Si Great job! When you got the ECU update did you notice any difference with the rev hangs?
I was kind of upset that home depot didn't have the plasti dip. Going to Summit Racing is dangerous, I'm sure you understand. I will pick up a can or two at lowes so I have them. Here is another pic of the finished look.
False alarm on the peel. Was just the light on the wheel. All is good for now!
I wish that the factory wheels came in black. I've looked at a lot of wheels and still like these.
Yup, off of 76 in Tallmadge. Are you local? I did the plasti dip today. Love the black look but screwed up one of the wheels and have some peeling already. Need another can from Summit Racing to fix the wheel now. Wasnt happy with that. It was a long afternoon to get this done. If I could...
Going to try plasti dip on my wheels tomorrow. Yes I will take pics. When I ran out to summit racing to pick up the plasti dip I opened up the Si for the first time. Well almost opened it up. I don't think I really made full use of the engine yet but I will say that at the end of the on ramp...
For the next 2 to 3 months I have to deal with bird poo on my new Si. Once I move it should be a none issue. Can someone suggest the best ways to remove the poo short of shooting the birds. Mind you I'm not apposed to that either, it just isn't a practical way to deal with it for now. Thanks.
Because it is a Honda it should have a lot of life left in it by the time he gets around to driving. Will give me an excuse to go buy a new one. My old 07 EX sedan was handed down when I got my new Si. 190k and it still looks, drives, sounds new.
Cool dad? I'm laughing. I think my kids might say something but not sure it was that. I think my youngest is hoping to get my Si when he starts driving in 5 or 6 years. We'll see. I may need a new one by then. With black wheels of course.
What I didn't realize was how much work it was going to be to maintain a black Si. But yes, it looks so very nice when cleaned up. I may end up taking stock in washing supplies. Still thinking about black wheels and maybe an aero kit. I really want the black wheels though. Just need to find...
