Back up camera used as rearview camera while driving.

This worked great for me. I'm amazed how wide a field of vision it is. Virtually eliminates what little blind spots this car has.

    2014 Si

Well looking at those pics, it's easy to see the '13 and '14 coupes share virtually no exterior bolt-ons except for maybe the deck lid itself (not including the trim piece that lines it up with the taillights). The bumpers, hood and fenders all are completely new. I'm not a big fan of the...

    New K&N SRI

I remember this being a big problem with Toyota ECU's. I had a '05 Scion tC and the biggest headache with them were the ECU's because they couldn't be reflashed and if you tried to use a piggyback, the ECU would over-compensate which left you resetting it every week depending on usage. Was good...

    New K&N SRI

Not worried about the hydro lock but more just keeping the filter cleaner for longer. Thanks for the replies! Absolutely love this intake. The growl this thing makes in 3rd+ gear is very nice. Pretty sure it's not helping my mileage much since I get on her more just to hear that intake howl...

    New K&N SRI

Does anyone have any experience with K&N's Drychargers? They look like they'd be a good idea but has anyone used these before? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00062ZXOK/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=29X5YKFXZOWFO&coliid=I2VEUWMREFK3HT

    New K&N SRI

Looks like I'm getting this intake as a X-mas gift! :D Got on Amazon for $228 and free shipping (Prime member). Will be here on the 24th so I know what I'll be doing for X-mas. So after 10 months and over 36K miles, I'll no longer be stock...well, unless you count a $5 yellow fog tint job a...

Disabling VSA w/ wheels that have no TPMS Sensors.

I did find this on Honda's website about it though: http://owners.honda.com/vehicles/information/2012/Civic-Natural-Gas/features/Tire-Pressure-Monitoring-System-(TPMS)/2 So since our recommended tire pressure is 32psi, you should be able to run it at 24psi before the TPMS starts complaining...

Disabling VSA w/ wheels that have no TPMS Sensors.

There should be a procedure in the manual but if Webby's right, it won't matter. :( EDIT: Couldn't find the procedure in the manual so unless it's one of those hidden procedures, it doesn't appear doable. All the Toyotas I've owned since '05 had a button in the glove box.

Disabling VSA w/ wheels that have no TPMS Sensors.

After lowering the pressure on all 4 tires, reset the system and drive at least 15mph for about 1/2 a mile IIRC. It should then consider that normal pressure and you should be good to go. Just remember to reset it again after you fill the tires back up. Of course, all that is moot if our...

Disabling VSA w/ wheels that have no TPMS Sensors.

In case anyone's interested, here's a list of states that require TPMS to function in order to pass inspection. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=214

CT Engineering 2012 Civic Si Stage 1 Supercharger Finished!

That's very nice especially on street radials. Would be interesting to see what she'd do with upgraded flywheel/clutch and drag radials (that's if the stock axles could handle it).

CT Engineering 2012 Civic Si Stage 1 Supercharger Finished!

Wow, you took down a STi? How I would have loved to see that. Any plans to take her to the strip and put up some 1/4 mile times?

    Regular Vs. Premium Fuel

This is a great thread indeed. I, for one, am sick of the whole "regular" vs. "premium" naming scheme as it makes those less inclined to believe premium is better quality vs. regular (and can we just please stop selling Plus/Mid-grade since not a single car uses it). This day and age, all...

    Auto A/C in Si...possible?

Think I'm going to call around to a few salvage yards so the monetary risk is lower. There should be enough wrecked 2013 Civic Ex's by now. I saw a thread for CR-V owners and they did this successfully in a 2007 where it was modular like ours and they bought the controls at a salvage...

    Auto A/C in Si...possible?

Schematics form the shop manuals for both would be great to have also as this would indicate what sensors talk to the unit.

    Auto A/C in Si...possible?

D'oh! Hmmm, knowing what the back of each unit looks like would go pretty far to know what I'm dealing with but $300 is a lot to gamble on a hunch and I'm not big on car hacking. :P

    Auto A/C in Si...possible?

I noticed the humidity sensor in the EX but based on the diagram, doesn't look as though it penetrates the firewall. The only reason I think this swap is reasonably possible is because the Canadian Si's have automatic A/C and the controls are under $300 so I may be willing to try this. Does...

    Auto A/C in Si...possible?

Any members who happen to be taking their dash apart, it would be awesome if we could get pics of the control units from the back.

    Auto A/C in Si...possible?

Looked over everything remotely related to the Heater/AC system and outside of the actual control unit, everything is the same. Looks like I may have a project in my near future and hopefully before winter comes. They're not too bad in North Texas but we did get some snow last year including a...

    Auto A/C in Si...possible?

I would think it would be self-contained like any other thermostat but I'll scour the parts listings to see if I can find anything.
