The OE batteries are cheap crap...but do you guys realize there is a PCM update for this problem? Basically, the alternator on old PCM software does not charge at idle or low engine rpm. This allows the battery to slowly become discharged. Most noticeable for those with short commutes.

you could always hard wire them - they are proprietary and the only way you'll find them (maybe) is off an old or damaged harness

Sometimes, if the tech has an on going issue with a car he or she will call Honda tech support, service engineering - what have you- to try and find a solution for the customer complaint. Usually the response of "characteristic" means that the complaint cannot be corrected without re-engineering...
