    P2r throttle body spacer

    While dyno tuning a K24Z2 accord test car, Ktuner also noted the spacer seems to do nothing. The accord K24Z2/K24Z3 is almost the same as the civic SI K24Z7 except the accord is down slightly on compression/cams, thus down a little on rated power.

    Yeah still happy with it, like I mentioned, you might lose a little low rpm/part throttle response in exchange for more WOT mid/high rpm power. I have an accord but with the similar K24Z engine, and it surprises alot of other sporty compact and entry/mid level luxo cars. My car is still...

    A few low priced engine mods?

    I don't recommend thermal gaskets in general, they often deform with time and heat. I used to use several of them on previous cars but then notice they were deforming over time. I saw one horror story where an s2000 using a thermal gasket eventually leaked coolant into the intake port. :bleh...

    Yeah power tools will work faster, I am a relative newb though so I did not want to grind off too much.

    No I just did it myself, first with a file, then emery cloth, then metal polish. Clean with a cloth and rubbing alcohol when you get the size and shape you want. I only enlarged the inlet side to match the intake coupler, so it was pretty easy. I did not do anything to the outlet nor throttle...

    p2r ported im runners

    This is a long story, so I have the actual P2R runners on my car right now. They seem to work ok, like I mentioned earlier, it seems to add some mid to high rpm pull and makes the engine sound deeper/louder. However low rpm and part throttle response seemed a little spongy. I thought I could...

    p2r ported im runners

    The amount of texture desired depends on who you ask. Furthermore, if you remove too much material, the width of the runners no longer matches the plastic upper. It's a lot of work and I stopped experimenting with it any more. http://theoldone.com/articles/h22a_head/...

    Yes P2R just refinishes OEM parts, it's a sand cast part, so it's rather rough inside. The plastic upper itself is actually quite smooth inside, however there is some molding flash inside that can also benefit from trimming with an exacto knife. This is stock vs DIY sanded;

    p2r ported im runners

    I've been driving around with this for over half a year now, I think it does increase high end power, but it's hard to tell for sure because it obviously won't change the curve of the powerband much. Someone on an accord forum had a shop port their runners, dynoed before/after and claimed 7 WHP...

    p2r ported im runners

    No the plastic upper IM does not match the porting on the aluminum runners, the ported runners then obviously have larger openings than the plastic upper IM.

    I had trouble getting the fuel rail out, was there any trick and did you disconnect the rail?
