Yeah, when I emailed the guy about the price I was expecting like $25-30 and was going to go for it...but since they're one-off items he makes per order they ain't cheap.
That's what I like about this guy's harness. It's plug and play and installing them in the rear also fixes hyper-flashing in the front.
And that's just the harness adapter, not even then bulbs!
I did see a guy on YouTube that makes a resistor harness that is plug and play that lets you use LEDs front & rear with no hyper flash, and it sounds great...but it's $80 for a pair. Not sure about you guys but I'm not quite at a place to drop that much, not even counting the price of bulbs...
I picked up a set of the Phillips Vision, only $20 for a pair at Pep Boys and less than I paid for the SBLED.com set and wow, that is more like it. Much better in terms of difference between running and brake, and running is really bright. I think it has to do with how the Phillips bulb directs...
Does anyone have recommendations for a really bright 7443 bulb for the rear brake lights on the '15 sedan? I picked up a set of these from SuperBrightLEDS.com and sadly, they really aren't super bright. In my comparison they really didn't seem noticeable brighter than stock, and I also don't see...
In order from most recent:
2009 Honda Accord EX coupe (traded in for the Civic when my daughter was on the way and two doors wouldn't have been fun)
2007 Chevrolet Silverado LT (traded in for the Accord when gas hit over $4 a gallon in 2009)
2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS (traded in for the...
I've never been a fan of chrome bolt-ons but I do like a touch of chrome when it looks OEM. One thing I've always felt the EX-L trim was lacking was some chrome door handles, so I picked up a cheap set on eBay for $10 to see if I even like how it looks. They're not super well cut when you look...
I understand how to fix hyperflashing and why it happens, but my question is does the 9th gen have a replaceable flasher relay or are resistors our only option?
I'm interested in putting LED turn signals on my EX-L but know there's an issue with hyperflash when doing so. When I went that route on my motorcycle, also a Honda, I was able to install an LED-compatible turn signal relay. It was super easy, totally plug and play and it fixed the hyperflash...
I like the look of chrome, but would like to do something to differentiate it from the other millions of Civics I see on the road. At least it's rare to see the EX-L around here, most seem to be LX or SE.
I finally got around to de-badging the trunk. I have either de-badged or re-badged almost every car I've owned and it only took 2 years to get around to it on this one. Not sure if I'll keep the stock H or go the script emblem route or not, but I like the clean look of the Civic logo being gone.
I use a TaoTronics CD05 dashcam every time I drive. It's not hardwired but is plugged in to USB to the 12V and starts recording the moment the car starts. I use its footage on my Bad Drivers of the Bay Area YouTube channel, so you can see the video quality. It's surprisingly good for a sub-$100...
Thanks! I actually reached out to College Hills and they let me know that the poor sound I'm experiencing is likely a sign of an incomplete ground and that a solution to this is to reuse the stock horn's brackets instead of the one that comes with the horn. If this turns out to be true I'll add...
Hi guys, I figured my first post would be an informative one. I just got done replacing my sad meep-meep stock horn with something a little better. I picked up this horn for $10 and free shipping from CHH. I wasn't entirely sure if this would all work so I figured that was a small price to pay...
