2012 knocking noise.

Is some knocking normal with the K24? It's not too bad at idle and above 2500 rpms. Between 1500 and 2500 it's noticeable, always has been. Seems to be getting slightly louder as of late. Car has 86,000 miles. There is also some pre-detonation and a very very small oil seep. I'm wondering if this noise is associated with valve lash and if the oil seep may be the valve gasket. The knock is rythmic with the motor, gets faster as rpms rise. Anyone have any experience with this? Side note: will be getting a tune soon as I added a takeda sealed box cai and invidia q300 exhaust. Thanks for the help.
 
You may want to have your valve clearance checked. Other hondas I've owned had that listed at 100k service. I don't have a manual handy, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's 100k on the si. That would be my guess.
 
I'm thinking the same. No one seems to be able to hear it but me. It's a ticking noise but not the normal k24 tick. It almost sounds like it's coming from the intake area
