2014 Civic R18 Starter

Hello,

Shop diagnosed my car as having a faulty starter.

I have a push-start so the car turns on fine (lights, audio, etc.) but just makes ONE click sound when I try to start it.

I was looking for Denso parts for our 9th gen civics but none are available. Are the 8th gen Denso starters compatible with our cars?

If not, what alt brands does everyone recommend?

Thank you!

I can only think of one person who posted about getting an aftermarket replacement from autozone, so it was like duralast or whatever. I recall someone else buying oem. I would imagine the oem being better quality, but that could be wrong.

Is your car manual or automatic?
Also, just a warning...the r18 starter is very difficult to get to without dropping the subframe. It took me most of the day to change one out.
