All things Halloween

If you're into that kind of stuff... There is Blood Manor in NYC on Varick St. #163. Only few clicks from Times Square.

^^^ Yup, too far for young kids. Halloween is for the kids after all, unless you're a Satanist or something. Haha
IMO Halloween should be scary for the kids, not Terrifying. There is a difference.

Have already begun to make a minion costume. Before you say lame, remember I work in an Elementary school.

No. Not far enough. Kids should be scared at Halloween and have to wonder. IS that real? IS that safe? The world is not safe and Halloween is a great way to gently introduce scary things with the safety of costumes, ritual, and parents accompanying your candy run.

However, blasphemy, nudity, and outright vulgarity should be avoided. Those are cheap thrills.

If the house is too scary, you don't go to it. Learn to trust your feelings and your limits. If you're uncomfortable, avoid it.

Despite my dislike of him.... LaVey makes a decent point every once in awhile....

“The real satanist is not quite so easily recognized as such” -Anton Szandor LaVey, The Satanic Bible

@Pauly99to17 - being a teacher perhaps you could do a lesson on the true history of Halloween and how it is in no way associated with Satanism but instead is the Gaelic festial marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. It is approximately halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. Essentially Thanksgiving before there was such a thing.

PS - Happy Thanksgiving Canada!
