Amazon.com to Sell Kindle Digital Reader With Ads for $114

Amazon.com the largest online retailer, will begin selling a version of its Kindle electronic- book reader that features advertisements and costs $114, 18 percent less than the ad-free device.

Amazon will subsidize the lower price of the Kindle with revenue generated by the ads, the Seattle-based company said in a statement. The Kindle With Special Offers will ship May 3 and can be purchased at Best Buy Co. and Target Corp. (TGT) stores.

requires a hotspot, or a wireless router at your house. It's not capable of getting a 3g data plan from a wireless company if that's what you're meaning. Not this one at least.
