Check this cheap exhaust bell mouth downpipe under $200

These last few weeks have made other cheap stuff like painting the valve cover with VHT wrinkle($12 on eBay and alot of work Removing paint) I also made my own big 3.5 intake with a cheap intake of a ram 1500 3.7 4.7 v6 engine($43), 3 to 3.5" 45 degress Hose, 5 to 3.5 pvc reducer for my 5" K&N filter, this really was my best mod lol.

That's just awesome man !

great job man! thats innovation right there with that intake. Let us know how that DP works out. I know there was quite a bit of, erm, "discussion" about it.

Got the DP in and built a 3" cat setup for it. Real nice. I don't know how to upload an image from my computer...
next to the "post reply" button you should see an "upload a file" button. Click that and it'll let you upload pictures.

easy as pie. I used a band clamp, the CAT (3" metal core) came with a ring clamp, then a 3" to 2.5 reducer normally used for headers. It does hiss from both the front flex pipe and I added a rear 2.5 stainless flex. I may change one or both to a ball / socket flex:

I'm running the stock mufflers, so if you have an after market exhaust you are not going to hear the hiss, or more like my miniature Begal's snore.

I had the same down pipe - welds were meh - but it help up for 10k+ miles

only reason I don't have it - cause my Si got totaled out by a red light runner

But got another one - newer cheaper and lower miles - just have to redo mods - I will be getting same parts to match the VitTune I had then - when he gets back to e-tuning oem ecu's again ill have him re-tune

so how long did you run your Rev9 for?>?? OP is pretty old - so just wondering - did it hold up well??? - thanks

cnt catted down pipe-it looks good to me, I also have a strange down pipe on my srt-4 now with 40,000 and 6 yrs old and still working perfect, but it has custom motor mounts and tranny mount too. So far I haven't seen these cnt pipes failing, any down pipe can fail on other cars.:worms:

I still do not understand the other side of this argument because it is pure ignorance. Why are you cheating your car of nice quality parts just to save a few bucks knowing that they are going to fail down the road? This isnt your typical '92 ex with some crappy D series engine. Its a K24 and it demands quality. Are you also going to buy the chinese flashpro too? Oh wait that's not possible. So if some parts of your build are quality you may as well make all of them quality. Also, if you try and argue those welds ARE REMOTELY EVEN CLOSE to a good weld, then you sir should not be striking a bead in the first place.
I been running china levers on my VFR 800 and they are excellent and are made to move when it falls over causing zero damage to them -it took over a month to get them. Other levers were twice as much and also could have came from china too-just falsely mis labeled:badger:My CNT china pipe LOL!

Getting ready to install my exhaust, but waiting for a few parts-just ordered yesterday. Hasport 62a and torque solutions mounts:eekdancesmiley: any downpipe can fail,
I looked over my CNT downpipe and its mostly SS, everything looks very heavy duty. I like to save some dough when I can:popcornbig::rockwoot:
