congrats on the wife that buys you car parts!!! Clearly you knew you had a keeper before this....

Hey guys got to finally take some pictures of my new lights! I will write a post about them but here is some pics. I def. love them.

So far I give these halogen bulbs a 90 out of 100. I will give it 100 if they last 1.5 years. These are NOT as bright as HID, and not as powerful as LED, HOWEVER, these light def. give off a steady clean 4000k light that is very well distributed without seeing any powerful beam pattern on the floor. It think people call them hot spots? They def. light up farther then halogens, and at night it's a nice 4000k color. NOT 4300k, or 5000k. True white powerful halogen bulbs. In the last pic you can see from a distance how my headlights are clearly lighting up that house's garage.

I love them and feel i made the best choice for me.

In the meanwhile, I still have my xenondepot LED headlights for sale. Anyone who's interested let me know as I have them packaged up since 2 weeks ago.

Next and possibly final mod:
OEM Illuminated Door Sill

So although yellow fogs are GREAT! I felt like they were not the style I wanted to go with. Also, I felt like they took a little away from the PIAA 4000k xtreme halogen bulbs white output. I posted a thread asking if people drive with their fogs on and I think 99% answered yes. I wanted to do the same as it offers a wider view of lighting, and I paid for fog lights. Yellow, however, I feel in dry, clear temperature might look a bit extreme. I feel like the yellow serves its purpose exceptionally well in fog/rain/thunderstorms, but also looks VERY nice on a sport car. My mod path is not sport car appearance so for the benefits of 4000k, visibility, and color matching, I order and received H11 PIAA light bulbs! I will install them in a few days as currently there is/will continue to be thunderstorm/rain for the next 2-3 days.

Will post pictures then!

Hey guys! So I finally got around on installing my PIAA H11 Fog lights. I think they are 5% weaker then the Nokya in terms of lighting output, however it completes the 4000k lighting. Here are some pics.

I don't think I want to do anything else to my car except the Illuminated door sills which I don't have a rush to get done. Hope this helps out with anyone who was looking into PIAA.

New goodies came in the mail! Got:
-Mobil1 Oil filter, OEM cabin air filter, OEM intake Filter (My next maintenance requires these things)
-OEM engine cover for the R18 civic
-TRS mini H1 Retrofit kit / Morimoto 5500k HID with Iris shroud

I will be taking my car to Lightwerkz to perform the install in a few months. As for the engine cover, most likely tomorrow, and the oil change... i'm at 40% right now.

I'm really debating getting TRS XB LED fogs. They look good however I don't like the yellow tone it has with the LaminX film, and keeping it LED will look great and cover a wider angle however it may be a bit overkill of lighting to use overnight.

What's up guys! Just updating my latest mod. I got my retrofit installed!! I had my mini H1 6.0 swapped for mini H1 7.0. I got it done by HID Illusionz in college point, NY.

Rich was a really honest cool dude. So happy I had him do my retrofit. The 7.0 are wide for sure and they have a curve to them. Here are some update pics.

These are with 5500k HID morimoto with mini H1 7.0 projector.

Now to decide what to do with my fogs. Def. not HID. Maybe yellow, maybe morimoto XB LED, maybe keep them of unless needed or have them in all the time. I'll see. In either case I'm happy with the outcome.

how would you say the 7 changed from the 6? I've not seen a side by side to know what changed

I have never had the 6 however the installer tested them side by side and one thing he mentioned is that the 7.0 I far wider lighting than the 6.0. I admit when I'm driving, these projectors light up the sides as well. It's pretty cool. Other than that I believe the 7.0 also have a little more curve.

Oh lol. I purchased the retrofit kit (pictures of the kit posted on this thread). The order included the 6.0 mini H1. It was stored in a box until I had time and decided to find the person I wanted to do my retrofit.

A few weeks after I purchased my kit I go online to read on the Morimoto xb LED fogs and I see "NEW MINI H1 V7.0. Wider..." So I said wow. I called the company I purchased it from since it was only weeks after my purchase and everything was still sealed in effort to exchange them for 7.0. The company declined. So I kept them.

Once I found the company to do my retrofit, he had v7.0 and we used that for my retrofit and HID install.

So I had the 6.0 but never installed, they were just in a box for about a month. And when I got the retrofit/HID install, I used v7.0. So I never had the 6.0 installed on my vehicle or any other.

PIAA ion yellow came in!! Ready for fog, snow, and/or rain! I plan on only using these fogs in those condition as my HIDs provide enough lighting.

Love the outcome of the lighting. I feel like the mini H1 provide wide enough lighting that I don't need extra set of white fogs even though I used to like the look of running them together all the time when I had PIAA low and fogs (4300k.)

I plan on only using the PIAA ion yellow when it rains, foggy out, or snowing. This will allow me to get the most out of my PIAA output and make them last a long time as performance halogens last less than OEM standard halogen. I think having them on even when dry weather feels a bit overboard. Well, that should be my last mod, I think.

I love the deep yellow color and happy it didn't have a greenish tint to it. I gotta say though, the Nokya REALLY give the PIAA a fight on color and brightness. Nokya my wife has lasted about 4 months though and one blew out. Nokya replaced it so now let's see how long the other one will last. I'm hoping mine will last a long time, these bad boys were around $70.
