Redbox offers free day of DVD and video game rentals on March 8th

If you don’t have a Blockbuster account or even a dollar when you want to rent a movie, March 8 might be your new best friend. On March 8 Redbox is letting customers rent for free. And if they can’t satisfy you with that, through the 8th they’re offering free video games.
The generous offers are thanks to its Game Week promotion, which was supposed to expire March 1 but they chose to extend it. Thank goodness.
The promotion lets customers receive a free first day rental after reserving it online in advance or through any Redbox apps. Rentals usually cost $2 and any day after the first customers will be charged the additional $2 daily fee. Available games are “UFC 3,” “Assassin’s Creed: Revelations,” “Just Dance 3,” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3,” for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii consoles.
To get a free first day for movie rentals, all you have to do is enter the promo code “THANKS2U” at the kiosk. All of the details are given at Redbox’s Facebook page.
Not only is the deal because of its promotion, but also Redbox recently hit its 2 billionth rented DVD.
Impressive, right? Especially since only 18 months ago they hit their 1 billionth rental. Plus, Redbox has 30,000 kiosks nationwide after the business took off in 2002.
March 8, save the date. No one likes missing out on free stuff.
