looks like you're less than an hour from chicago. Is there much a car scene around where you live?
 
I am in Carol Stream (Western Suburb). I am not aware of much of a scene in the area.

There's a local group that gets a meet going sponsored by the city of lake zurich every tuesday from may 15th until the first week in september iirc. Its located at the kohl's/Culver's on 12 in Lake Zurich.

Tuesdays at 6:00 PM.

Lake Zurich, IL 60047

all makes and models are welcome, admission is free.

Buffalo Grove, IL here. Few miles from Lake Zurich. I'll check out the car show in couple of weeks.
