iPhone 5 for filming??

I wanted to do a few drive bys of my exhaust and I don't have a good video camera or camera. Would the iPhone 5's video sound decent and be able to be heard?

Most of the vids you see posted are done with cell phones or gopros. It'll be ok.

My 5 had great videos I use it at concerts will be fine the only problem is they have trouble showing how loud things are just to much sound for the mic
