Not my first civic...

What up

Ended up getting access to a lift yesterday and put my exhaust hangers on the si. Also got at the eg. I took off the upper control arms and said **** it and ordered new bushing so it won’t be back together for a couple weeks. Also got the brake lines on the front. Anddddddd. I ordered a rear trailing arm bushing press cause every parts store discontinued it for loan a tool.

As I dig deeper into the car I’m finding so much shady work from the past. So each install has ended up leading to more installs since some of the parts shouldnt even be on the car. Gotta love project cars.

After all this. A rack and pinion, tie rods is a must. Should be in pretty good shape after that. Peace.

Interesting all those chairs/tables in the garage. Classroom?

Yes. That’s Mira Costa college here in Oceanside. I tutor at the writing center as a part time job. I’ve also been taking auto classes as electives ever since I went back to school so I should be holding an ASE certificate in manual transmissions by the end of summer. My masters from CSU in literature and writing by the end of fall semester.

Getting some adjustable front upper control arms?

yep. Truharts. Also just ordered outer tie rods and and a manual rack this morning before work. Hoping to be tracking the car this summer.

Have a great day guys!!!

Pressed out and installed my bushings. Also cleaned up the whole assembly. I’m hoping to have them in by thurs if I have time.

That tool was worth the money.

If I would’ve smashed through it, would’ve take 15-20 minutes tops. Without the press it would’ve taken 2+ hours and that if I had the tools to do it.

I should put the word out I have this thing and charge for replacing them??

Sup guys. Got home and got an itch in my bit and decided to go back at the brakes. Got everything installed but turned out the calipers were frozen. Couldn’t even budge them when I was trying to twist them back in. I was straight screaming like macho man Randy Savage twisting with all my strength and nothing. Also ordered a new driver side parking brake cable as the one I had was pretty badly damaged. I hope to go in for an alignment and have her on the rode by Friday. 2AA2AC89-0906-425B-93BA-C680A7A05F7E.jpeg39DE79D6-E8BA-46CD-8D71-13A896C4E936.jpegE2C2F452-2190-491E-BC80-BB0C3EDB4791.jpeg The more I work on this car the more I realize how old it is. Then I realize **** man I’m getting old too.

Wsup player pimps. Rear disks are done and aligned. Car drive pretty good but def rack, pinion and tie rods are being ordered soon was telling some of the guys I ran her pretty hard yesterday. Got a some dig launches in and kinda gave me the holy shits. I think once the racks in this thing will be ready for some serious action just the steering is a little loose 100mph+. Also probably gonna do new rotors all around. 3E34FE52-41D1-4AB2-97E2-37AF12D2C844.jpeg

I really appreciate it man. I’ve put a lot of work into that thing. Literal blood sweat and tears.

Nice, Ron! If I end up trading in my Si for a truck, I'm gonna use the money I get from parting it out to buy a hatch. Your hatch is like my dream car right now lol
