As the title states, does anyone know how to do a passenger seat weight sensor calibration? My girlfriends 2015 EX was involved in an accident. She was rear ended at about 5mph. I rear online that Honda requires a recalibration/check of the weight sensor after any collision.

    Thanks in advance.

A dealer needs to do it with their HDS scan tool according to the service instructions.

Ah alright. I was hoping to save myself money, but I guess it is what it is.

By the way I just found out about this. Does this calibration procedure apply to all 9th gens? I got rear ended a couple of years ago. I never did this. I have a 2012 Civic Si.

It applies to a lot of Honda’s and acura vehicles going back a while. I didn’t look to see what year it started, but there are comments on other forums back to 2011 (and I think earlier) talking about it.
