Radio Static with Dash Cam (Garmin)

This is my very first post so please help me along if I'm in the wrong area. I have a 2012 EX and I want to hard wire my Dash Cam. Every time I try to hardwire it, I get horrible radio signal. Just mostly Static. I've tried different accessories and different parts of the car to run wire and tap into a 12v source but all I get is Static. Has anyone experienced this with either a dash cam or something that uses the accessories wire? My amp and subs work great.
