I was not able to find a 9th specific aftermarket speaker mount that fit correctly either.

Edit: was going to post a link, but it looks as though we discussed this one already in another thread.

Thanks for the help. I tore it all apart and dyno matted my back deck and trunk. Sounds 10000x better. I'm actually gonna build a box soon that's gonna port through where the stock subwoofer was.
 
No problem. I have heard a lot of people are using the stock sub location as a port. Are still planning on trying to replace the 6.5's?
 
im gonna use mdf and make a bracket and mount the speakers in ring i make

If you are going to do some custom modification, depending on the basket of the speaker you get, you could possibly drill new holes in the deck.
 
i prob will end up throwing 3 bolts and nuts in with dyno mat between the wood and metal and use wood on the bottom as a puck with dyno mat under it aswell to keep it from rattling.
