Hey guys, I'm trying to prepare for installing a remote starter and bypass that I ordered. However, I have questions that I can't seem to find answers to.
Remote starter: Viper 4806v
Bypass: Flashlogic FLCAN

General questions that would help me so much:
Do I need to directly connect from the remote star unit to the parking lights, horn, trunk release, dome light, tachometer, alarm arm/disarm, door lock/unlock, or are these going to work through the CAN bus?
For each of the accessory 1, accessory 2, ignition, and starter, there is another set named 200mA ignition, 200mA starter etc. What are those for?

I have an electrical engineering degree and I've even installed a cheap remote start in my old civic, but I have too many questions to feel comfortable jumping into this.
Please help!

Thanks. I also posted to the12volt, hoping to at least get my questions answered. But here is the wiring from the remote starter:

only.

*** Ground this wire for automatic transmission vehicles or connect to the parking
brake wire for manual transmission vehicles (see owners guide for manual
transmission procedure).

Thanks man, this is going to explain a lot. I hate how Viper didn't include descriptions in the manual for the 4806...

I will still probably have one unanswered question though. Exactly which connections can I omit because they will be taken care of by the bypass / CAN bus?

I install remote starts but haven't done one on our cars yet and I've only been doing it about 6 months. On the cars that I've done that utilizes can bus system you still need to tap into the ign, constant, accessory, starter, and ground. So basically If I'm thinking right can bus takes care of lock/unlock, parking lights, brake shut off, and factory arm/disarm. This is at least for some of the cars I've done. I'm not sure what the 200mA wires you're speaking of mean or do but I'm sure you're only gonna deal with the "normal" versions of those wires. Also I had this happen to me today on a VW beetle (VW's suck when it comes to r.s.), on this beetle one accessory wire was for the radio and the other was for the climate control circuit. I tapped into the accessory wire for the radio when I installed the r.s. A few months back and the customer came back complaining her cabin wouldn't warm up when she used it. So I had to go back and switch into the other wire. I don't think you'd have that issue on a Honda since it's a little less engineered but just giving you a heads up.

Here's my best attempt at what goes where.. Any experts?

Which remote start do you guys recommend for 5 speed 2013 LX? Can anyone post some rough quotes in US and Canada?

im sorry guys remote starts are out of my league car audio on the other hand im decent with. :(

@Adam Pakula i dont have work tm but i need to swing by any way and grab you a rough quote if you want.

dont worry, you certainly dont have to wire to everything individually :P

200mA ign and starter are for backup relays. Even tho they arent backup when the prim. fails, its for power switching within the relay on primary on/off

As for the wiring, if it's standard, clutch bypass and several other electronic connections are required. I haven't install one on our civics, but i know they will only be 3 connection type, aside from running your antenna's :P

I can try to draw a wiring diagram, but you'd still have the find the right wires to connect to (or splice into) to retreive the proper signals the 4806v is looking for.

Check what the manual says and go from there to locate the right stuff :)

Sorry i couldnt be more help :/

The following is the answer I received at the12volt.com (Thread: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~135841~PN~1):

Hopefully the seller flashed the FLCAN with the FLC-AL(DL)-HA3 version of firmware. Here is a link to the current install guide :
http://cdncontent2.idatalink.com/corporate/Content/Manuals/DL-HA3/FLC-AL(DL)-HA3-EN_20130909.pdf
For your car, you will follow the Type 2 diagram. All of the dashed Orange wires are handled by the D2D harness connection.
Also refference the chart on Page 2. It lists the functions that are supported with each vehicle. Specifically, your car has no
sliding doors or power lift gate and those features, while shown in the Type 2 diagram are not suported for your car.

The Viper 4806 is a remote start with keyless entry only. It has no alarm functions, however the FLCAN supplies those signals
and they will be needed for your install because the vehicle has a manual transmission. The manual transmission makes things
more complicated. Here are the basics :
1. You must run the Viper in Tach Mode.
2. You must connect the Door, Trunk and Hood status signals.
3. You must shutdown the car and enter Reservation Mode to enable a remote startup.
4. You must connect the EBrake to the Viper ( as the Neutral Safety input ).
5. You must properly bypass the clutch pedal interlock during a remote start.

In two-way D2D mode a lot of these signals are taken care of. The Door Status, Trunk Status and Hood Status ( if your car has
a factory installed Hood Pin ) are all gathered by the FLCAN and passed on to the Viper via the D2D harness. Same goes for
the Brake Pedal, EBrake and Tach. Additionally, the Vipers Lock, Unlock, Disarm and Status Output ( GWR ) signals are handled
by the D2D harness.

Here is the wiring necessary :

H/1 Red (+)12VDC CONSTANT INPUT white (50A) + ignition switch
