Royal wedding: Prince William and Kate Middleton kiss

Like most women, Kate Middleton would have spent hours as a girl dreaming about her future wedding. Now she has been given a sneak preview – thanks to Lego.


In the grounds of Legoland's miniature "Buckingham Palace", a curiously square couple share a kiss in front of cheering crowds of well-wishers – all made up of tiny plastic blocks.


The bride, wearing a white dress, gloves and a veil, holds the hand of her new husband Prince William, who is resplendent in military uniform as they stand at the palace gates.


They are accompanied by model guests representing a pregnant Victoria Beckham, along with Sir Elton John, his partner David Furnish and their son Zachary.


In the series of images released by Legoland, the newlyweds then join their family including the Queen upstairs on the Buckingham Palace balcony.


Prince Harry is just about distinguishable to the right of his brother due to the mop of ginger hair emerging from below his cap. Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are also visible.

The display, to mark the 15th anniversary of Legoland, can be viewed by the public when the park reopens on Friday.
