...have you noticed a difference in performance? Had a customer come in today that said he noticed a performance increase after the rebuild. I can think of two possible reasons: 1) if you're losing oil, you're losing compression also; 2) consensus is that the valves come from the factory stupid tight (they get adjusted during the rebuild). What's your experience?

I have not noticed any difference in performance after the pistons and rings were replaced. But it's not like I ever did any formal tests, or timed myself through the 1/4 mile, etc.

It seems like the rev hang is worse but I don't know why that would be. Maybe it's because I'm vtech'ing it a lot more and revving it higher? Anyway, that's the only thing I've (kind of, maybe) noticed.
