While I was taking my lunch today, I saw a civic that seems to be a "wanna be Si R18".

I looked at inside and it's a stick shift. There are both DOHC stickers on both rear passenger doors. Aside from that, I cannot tell if this is a true Si or a sleeper or a wanna be Si R18.

Can someone please tell me how to identify the physical difference between R18 and Si?

Thanks

@Michal006
I like your answer more.
I just walked by again. It is indeed a R18.......
The DOHC sticker threw me off initially........
I am proud of R18 and stick a SOHC sticker...WHY DOHC for someone else....
:meh:

Easiest way to identify is the lower grille/fog light area unless they swap it

Maybe they swapped the si engine in it?

See if the rear brake is a disc or drum. Only the LX has drums but thats an easy visual for that trim level.
