Planning on lowering it 1.5
Not 100%

Current stock hight

17x8 30 offset..
I don't see many people with 30 offset when I did a search any reason why?

Would 215 40 17 for tires be what I need?

I don't want any camber kit or fender rolling

Yes get rings. Yes, get new "tuner" lugs. Use OEM lugs on OEM wheels and acorn/tuner lugs on aftermarket wheels. 12x1.5 thread pitch.

215/45/17 or 225/45/17. Either will work. @dpetro1 is correct also. The 215/45 is the stock size for the Si cars.

What year and trim level is your car? The non-Si cars come with a different wheel/tire combo and the Si has 17/18 depending on the year.

Yes, that is the wrong tire size.

Your car came with 205/55/16 wheel/tire combo.

You should be getting a 225/45/17 size tire.

A 215/45 will be 1.2% too slow and a 215/50 will be 2.5% too tall. If you have to stick to a 215 width then the 215/50 is the better option.

The 215/40 is going to be off by almost 5% which is huge. When your speedometer reads 60 you will only be going 57. Thats a large difference. That is the wrong size tire and that shop could have done a quick calculation to get you the right size tire. The 215/40 is almost an inch too short!

That +30 offset is pretty aggressive. You may want to get a higher offset unless you already own the wheels or stick to the 215/50 tire size. Sorry, just thought about that.
