The Stateline Drive-In Theater is located on Highway 19E in Elizabethton in Northeast Tennessee. The Drive-In is the only existing motion picture theater in Elizabethton. The theater was built in 1947 and has never been closed. Stateline consists of a full service snack bar, indoor restrooms, 230 parking spaces, and the original screen. Our sound options are field speakers, AM, and FM stereo. The Stateline still runs the traditional 2 projector system with the original projectors installed in 1947. We cater to families, choosing not to show rated R movies, and providing a clean comfortable and affordable environment.
Jenny and Andrew Wetzel, owners of the State Line Drive-In, proudly announced they will be going digital thanks to voters in the Honda Project Drive-In contest. They will receive a $60,000 digital projector which will allow the State Line to remain in business.
