No shop will install my remote starter

I'm ready to start pulling my hair out over this...
Last weekend I spent a good 4 hours in the freezing cold trying to install my viper 4806 on my Si, but the wires were stiff from the cold, and so was my body. So I decided I'd pay a shop to do it. I've called every shop in the area, and none of them will touch a manual transmission car, even though the 4806 has manual mode.

What can I do? Anyone in the area (southwest michigan) good with installs? Apparently I'm up sh*t creek with a remote starter that I've already snipped wires and taped it up.

If you are willing to make the drive, I would call some shops in the South Bend, Mishawaka, Elkhart area.

Thanks.. Can you recommend any particular shops there?
In Mishawaka, you could try Auto One or M&M Car Audio. In South Bend, Stereo Specialists (may as well be Mishawaka though) These are all within five or so minutes of each other.

A lot of legit shops won't do it because of insurance,I found one to do it but I'm not getting it,not that big of a deal to me..

At this point, I'm just regretting spending the money on the parts that I can't return now because I prepped everything.
I also regret stripping wires on my car, but I can tape those up and put the panels back on.

Squiggy do you have any personal experience with any of those shops? The Mishawaka ones both have really bad reviews online, and the south bend one said they won't do it...

Auto One is under new ownership as of the last year or so. I have had my windows tinted there twice. They have been in business for over 20 years.

M&M does seem kind of shady, but I have bought stuff there before. Never had anything installed. They are always helpful when I have questions even though I don't buy major pieces of equipment from them. They have been in business 10+ years. If I didn't do my own audio installs, I would use them.

Despite reviews, longevity speaks volumes to me. Also, keep in mind that most reviews are going be negative as those with positive experiences don't feel the need to speak out and vent.

Never liked the guys at the South Bend location. They always seem uninterested and like they have more important things to do whenever I go in. They haven't been in busy but five years or so.

Unfortunately, both of the amazing places we had went out of business years ago due to the owners retiring.

Ok I will give Auto One a call when I settle down. I just got done taping up all my stripped wires and re-installing the panels. I feel way more relaxed now that my car is put back together. If all else fails, maybe I'll try the installation myself again in the summer...

I talked to Auto One a few months ago about putting remote start in my wife's Insight and they quoted me $400-450 for equipment and install.

Update!
So I just got back to Michigan. I had finally found a shop that would do my installation, in Downers Grove, Illinois. The shop is called Mobile Electronics USA, and they did an excellent job. Highly recommended. I'm really happy to finally have my remote starter. I also recommend the Viper 4806v and FLCAN bypass, they work perfectly.
Thanks everyone for the help when I was freaking out about it...

Holy crap that was quite the drive for an install.

Best buy does it. Just gotta sign a waiver. Don't know if you have a best buy.
The shop in Kalamazoo refused, and didn't mention a waiver. Anyway I'm really happy that I found a small reputable shop to do the install, no questions asked.

When i had an alarm installed on my S2000 back in 2007, the owner of the shop said he would install remote start if I signed a waiver, because of the liability. I decided not to go through with it. Sounds like they are getting stricter.

I work at Best Buy and we install them in MT cars all the time. Have you called your local Best Buy?
I did. This thread is 2 years old though, so I don't recall why I didn't go with them. I think they refused because it was manual. My remote starter has been installed for 2 years.
