What are you having for dinner?

Butcher gave me a stupid cut of brisket. But it turned out alright. I'm gonna have to get a bigger smoker soon so I can cook a full size brisket.

This one only took 5 hours to reach 208F. Wrapped it about 3 hours in at 170F then in a cooler for like 4 hours because I wasn't expecting it to only take 5 hours to cook.

Also made a tin foil barrier as I used lump charcoal. First time ever having to reduce heat with the vents. Using briquettes I also had issues making heat.

If I ever get another Weber I'm getting a slow n sear.

technically it was lunch but I'm so full its counting as dinner too. Managed to get on a work trip to Austin, finally got to try Franklins BBQ. All of it was fantastic, though I could pass on the pulled pork in the future. By far the absolute best brisket i have ever had

this looks amazing. if there was one reason for me to visit the states it would be bbq.

Do you like slaw?
It depends on the type I guess. That pic looks like a sweet/creamy homemade fresh coleslaw. I’m not a big fan of super “vinegary” types, but it depends what it’s being eaten with.

Yeah any type of slaw doesn't do it for me.
