Here’s a tip for anyone who wants to replace just their fuel strainer and not shell out a few hundred bucks for a whole new fuel pump assembly. Maybe it’s common knowledge, but I found this out when I thought a clogged fuel strainer might possibly be my issue.
The factory fuel strainer is...
Ok, so apparently Heet does absolutely nothing. I put a bottle that supposedly treats 20 gallons into my tank that had around 7 gallons in it. Still ran like crap. When I pulled the fuel pump, I could still see pockets of water at the bottom of the tank. So much for Heet emulsifying the water...
Yeah, I'm familiar with Heet. I did put a bottle of it in the tank yesterday morning before I went to work. Unfortunately I'm still getting random engine stumbling and misfires, but not all the time. Sometimes it will run fine, then other times it will randomly start misfiring and lose power. If...
Filled up the tank the other day on my 2012 EX, and a few minutes later while driving, engine got really rough, then died. Could not get it to restart. Got it towed home (luckily I was close) and pulled the fuel line off the fuel rail. Put the fuel line into a mason jar and primed the fuel pump...
Ok, so I wired up my red power wire as shown in the wiring diagram at the bottom right. When reverse lights are on, power goes to Pin #14 telling iMid to pull up the camera feed, while the reverse light wire is simultaneously powering up the camera. However, when I went into the secret menu, the...
Ok, so the ground from my camera (not the black wire inside my RCA cable) is currently in pin #18. I took the black ground wire from inside my RCA cable and stuck it into pin #3 (labeled as CAMERA_V_GND) and that cleaned up my picture significantly.
Ah, ok, guess I missed that part in the 20+ page thread. Thanks for sharing. So I need to connect the black wire in my RCA cable to ground then. Probably explains why my video feed looks like crap.
So I hooked the yellow (actually green in my case) wire from my RCA cable to Pin #19, and the red and black wires inside the RCA cable are hooked to nothing. When I put car in reverse, it switches to reverse camera, but the video feed looks like crap. Don’t know if it’s because the camera is...
I’m not in a place where I can take pictures of my RCA cable at the moment. But my cable looks just like this picture, except my yellow wire is actually green.
My original interpretation was that the “yellow” wire in the diagram was the yellow RCA cable in its entirety. And the “red” and “black” were additional 18-22ga wires, since he lists the red and black wire in his parts list. He doesn’t mention just run the RCA cable, then break it open to find...
So the green wire only goes to Pin #19? I ran separate power (red) and ground (black) wires that are tapped into reverse lights. Was I supposed to just use the red and black wires contained within the RCA cable?
I’m really unclear with opening the RCA cable. When I opened up my RCA cable, there’s a red, green, and black wire inside it. Which one is it that I’m supposed to connect to Pin #19?
