definitely a civic and g37 are different cars. I tried to downsize due to high gas prices but couldn't do it for too long. Si was a very nice car, no doubt.
I had my 2012 Si for 8 months and traded it in yesterday for 2010 Infiniti G37xS. My thoughts on the Si:
Positives:
Loved the engine
Short shifter/trans
Nav/MID/Bluetooth/MPG tracker thing
Great gas mileage, even for an Si
Big trunk
Did I mention the high revving engine
Negatives for car and...
Is it just me or are there other Si owners that are not experiencing the rev hang thing? After seeing this post, I looked for it and didn't really notice it too much. I bought my Si last November.
There is a strip mall at corner of Lake-Cook and McHenry Roads. The parking lot next to the Burger King is usually very open. Weekday evenings or Anytime weekends is good for me. Please through out some dates and times.
I need to find a different dealer. The current one has the policy of shooting down pretty much every complaint I make.

The squeaks and rattles already have me seriously thinking about selling this car. If I wanted a rattling glovebox, I could've kept my 11 year old Maxima. I love my 2012 Si as far as the engine and driveability but the interior cheapness is starting to get to me.
Adam - I understand what you're saying but for me personally, the extra 25 cents is worth the peace of mind that I won't ruin the engine. I drive pretty easy but you never know when you need to gun the engine.
Also, My Si has been averaging 33+ MPG since I've owned it.

Why spend $25k on a car and then worry about few cents for premium gas. Just buy the lx or ex instead.

My last fill up was done with one bar left and i-Mid showed zero miles left and it filled up with 11.3 gallons.
