Gotcha, it's all good. In the grand scheme of things I just hate wasting money. I would hate to be able to almost make the same power fully tuned and bolted as what the supercharger increase boasts. But then again here I am arguing something that's not even out yet. I just hope it all comes...
I see. I went ahead and read about half that thread and got my own conclusion. It seems like that intake in particular was indeed a poor design. It was on a 2010 BMW m5, which was slightly modified. I doubt the modification had anything to do with the loss of power. Too bad, they have stopped...
I felt the same way about it. I did a bit of reading and no one has any REAL BAD reviews for takeda, there is quite a few of good ones though. From what I understand it was a upper man at injen moved to do his own deal. The gains do seem strange but if you cut away the resonator and point it out...

I was doing some searching and found this. Has anyone ever seen this or know anyone who has tried it? Seems like a short ram icebox style.. Maybe Webby could shoot an email...
Well, the lsj's without an upgrade are kinda a joke. Fully bolted, smaller pully, and meth the m62 wont break 300 whp. Now... My lnf I tuned made 317whp and 363wtq. Just with basic bolt ons, no meth ect. That's no joke. As much as ct charges they could afford to have it as an upgrade option like...
Thats awesome that someone is finally coming out with an intake. I will probably buy this the day it releases HOWEVER I will always play negative nancy with injen because of other products and personal interactions with them. I really just don't care for them as people. You hear how they don't...
Hmm... As long as your supplied a final product if ya do the math a cheap 40mpg rental might even save you money compared to buying the intake system at a later date. Plus free dyno numbers! ;-) just an idea.
Heh, I actually got it last Sunday, or the week before, can't recall. I've been traveling a ton, already got 2k on her. I'll get some pics up Tuesday for ya.
Ahh I thought I saw them say it was an m62. Oh well, either way the lotus guys go 1320 to make 300wheel, so do the Balts. Seems strange we would pay close to 5 grand to only up 50 or so hp with their stage 1. Its seems more cost effective for the end user to start out with a larger charger to...
I hope they trash that m62 personally. For those who don't know that's the stock supercharger for the cobalt ss's. Even the 1.8 liter lotus uses an mp62, slightly nicer. We have such a nicer and larger engine though... There's no reason why we can't fully utilize the tvs 1320. There's where some...
I should mention after owning a few Evo's those guys actually steer pretty clear of KN filters. If you google K & N filers and fouling maf's in the Evo forums you should get quite a few results. Not sure if its as simple as just using some maf cleaner but fouling maf in a forced induction car...
Its just my experience with injen that I doubt they put the needed testing into SOME products. Example, injen intakes skew maf readings on a cobalt too much. When trying to address this with HP tuner readouts of a couple cars injen had no response. I felt as the "MR" technology was a lie in this...
I'm just excited about the options this opens up. Although I appreciate NA tuning, which some people will LOVE, I prefer F/I products. Hopefully we will see reflash's to go with the upcoming full race turbo kit and ct supercharger kit I've seen being worked on. Woot.
If you go to hondata's...
Out of simple curiosity were the runs back to back? Although I'm positive as well gains are minimal, it seems strange there would be any loss in power. Seems like it might have just been from a good ol heat soaking.
After reading posts I agree. Seems most people have been waiting since as late as October. I did however have to pay a premium price for the dealer to get it. I'm actually think he took someone else's pre-order and gave it to me... lolz, well you pay for what you get.
