    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

ya that makes sense, if the rear roll resistance is increased, the front(and whole car) will roll less, which uses the front tires better(since the strut camber curves suck), thus more grip at the front and less understeer. But even if you lift a tire, it will still be stiffer.

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

If you have the 22mm bar and are lifting an inside tire already, isnt the 24mm bar just going to do the same thing but worse? I realize it will have an even higher roll stiffness in the rear but is there a limit before it is not helping anymore? (i.e. wheel lifting). I suppose in a fwd car you...

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

I can really only comment on the '12 going to a 22mm rear bar... Although you can only go so stiff to be effective, after that any stiffer won't really change the behavior of the car. I don't think you can go too much, its all personal preference. Being that the '13 has a bigger front bar, you...

    Bike rack

I have a Thule Gateway trunk mount rack. http://www.thule.com/en-us/ca/products/carriers-and-racks/bike-carriers/rear-door-mounted-bike-carriers/thule-gateway-2-bike-9006xt-_-1679939 It fits really good, nice soft padded mounts but it rests on the top of the rear bumper. There isnt much...

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

If your car still has stock springs I think 24mm is too big. The car rolls so much in the front(which isnt necessarily a bad thing for overall grip) that if you stiffen the rear too much you lose too much grip at the rear. My rear tire lifts consistently with the 22mm bar at autocross. If you...

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

Originally I thought it would be easy to install it without removing the brace but laying under the car and trying to manoever the bar around everything it looked way easier to just unbolt that brace. Maybe if the tires are removed you can thread it up and over the brace.

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

The brace that goes under the fuel tank, along the length of the car. Sorry not really a "cross brace"

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

I used ramps and it was definitly a pain to remove all the panels and cross bracing

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

Actually, if you used to drive an s2000, you'll probably really enjoy the 24mm bar at autox. Also, this may sound stupid but could the clunking be because you have the bar in upside down? a few people have done that since it still barely fits upside down and hits the exhaust

    Progress 24mm rear sway bar

I have the 22mm on an otherwise stock si sedan and autocross fairly frequently. It has made the car much more neutral and more fun to drive. I wouldnt worry about the oversteer, its not like the back end kicks out unexpectedly, only when you want to and make it. I would definitely use the...

Best Class for 9th Gen Civic - SCCA AutoX

STX is a good fit for most people since you can use coilovers, upgrade both sway bars(instead of just one in stock), use camber bolts up front, intake, exhaust and tuning. I'm running in g-stock this year but it is very tempting to move up to stx next year just to add stiffer springs and add...

Best Class for 9th Gen Civic - SCCA AutoX

But to answer your question, if you're looking to be competitive, I think that the best class for the civic si is actually g-stock, unless someone else here has experience with their car in other classes. Moving up to STX or DSP, there are a ton of cars that are very very quick when prepped for...

Best Class for 9th Gen Civic - SCCA AutoX

If your car came from the factory or you bought it brand new with the HFP suspension then it can be in stock. If you just bought the package and put it on your car it is no longer in g-stock but STX. You can't modify any of the air intake except a drop in filter to stay in stock, this includes...

    Sway bars? Strut bars?

Oh wow that looks beefy. With the 22mm progress bar i'm lifting an inside wheel pretty consistently at autox, 26mm seems a little overkill for the street.

22mm progress rear sway bar coupe si

Its not necessarily a bad thing on a front wheel drive car. This only happened on a 180 degree pivot or hairpin turn. Mostly because I was braking very hard and trail braking into the turn to keep the front tires loaded. In this case most of the weight is on the front outside tire, where most of...

22mm progress rear sway bar coupe si

I have the progress rear bar and moog endlinks, everything else is stock. I can say that the car turns in way better and feels more neutral in steady state turns. I also just saw some pictures of my car from recent autocrosses and i'm definitely lifting a rear tire in some tight turns...
