Has anyone upgraded their bushings that sit between the top of the rear shocks and the body mount?
Now that I've upgraded the suspension again I'd like to look into something a little stiffer.
After doing a quick search on the web, I can't really seem to find anything.
Wow, that's a bit of a personal question @ron v :rotfl:
That's a Mugen shift knob. One of the first things I changed on my car. I absolutely love it.
I don't think it's weighted though.
No you don't really see a lot.
Have a look at the pictures I've attached. You're basically looking down at the shifter assembly but with a plastic cover surrounding it.
My only word of caution. If you decide to go without a shift boot, be very careful you don't drop anything down there. You...
Installed my Acuity Accelerator Pedal Relocation Bracket yesterday.
It's a quick easy install and not a huge modification, but it really improves the drivability of the car.
I always rev match on my downshifts so getting the accelerator pedal in a better position to make this easier is huge for me.
After trying position B, I switched to position C.
I like position C better.
I still need to get used to the new pedal position especially after driving my car with the stock pedal position for 3 years.
For anyone who already has the Acuity Throttle Pedal Spacer, I'm curious to know what position you use for mounting the pedal.
A, B, or C?
I'm trying B to start with.
:feedback:
I for one cannot downshift without blipping the throttle to rev-match the engine so the downshifts are smooth.
I've always wished that my brake pedal and throttle pedal were closer together. I can't count the number of times that my foot has slipped off the pedals.
I'm kind of surprised that nobody has posted anything about this new product from Acuity.
I'll be getting one in the very near future.
I think this is yet another amazing product from Acuity to greatly increase the drivability of the 9th Gen Civic.
Let us know if you've already installed one...
Go with the Acuity or don't bother doing anything.
It's a quality product and worth every penny.
If you consider yourself a driver, you'll have no regrets upgrading to the Acuity shifter.
Do the shifter bushings on the transmission as well.
As soon as I installed my Acuity shifter I fell in love with the improvement in the way the shifts felt.
There's no more slop and as everyone says, the adjustability is second to none.
I also have the cable bushing installed on my transmission.
Acuity is makes a quality product. You will not be...
OK @dpetro1 you were right. I changed my oil last night so while I was under the car I double checked the side fill bolt on the transmission.
It is 17mm. :pat:
I've updated my post with the proper sizes.
Funny, I keep thinking to myself that I should add some grease to my Moog end links.
I just have to stop being lazy and take the time to do it.
I'm going to change my oil this weekend so I'll have a look at 'em.
Is that parts diagram from a 2014 @dpetro1?
Both of the crush washers were the same but I'm pretty sure the lower bolt was an 18mm.
Now you have me questioning myself......
I would have to say that the hardest part of this whole process is first as everyone says, getting the C clip off. I went and bought a set of picks as shown by the OP and those work well. You just have to keep working at it. I think the problem I was having was that I was trying to pry the clip...
