Does the "whine" that everyone is reportedly hearing sound similar to what a bad/loud power steering pump would sound like? Mine just started the other day but the car still pulls fine. Im praying is the tensioner or idler pulley starting to go rather then the rotrex.
I'm fully aware of that as I'm a VW tech. You may wonder why I'm a tech and would take my car to get worked on by someone else, but a warranty is a great thing. Haha.. Thanks for the info though!
I'm aware that I have that option and will exercise it as needed but, let's say my alternator blew to a million pieces (lol) as I was driving and I had no option but to have the car towed to the dealer. The common person doesn't carry a laptop ready to flash their Ecu when needed in their car...
I install remote starts but haven't done one on our cars yet and I've only been doing it about 6 months. On the cars that I've done that utilizes can bus system you still need to tap into the ign, constant, accessory, starter, and ground. So basically If I'm thinking right can bus takes care of...
Did some more research because I had a few more questions but once again I couldn't find answers. While my Ecu is flashed , if I have an issue and need to take my car into the dealer can they still access and retrieve information from the Ecu ? And could they tell if the car has been flashed?
Thanks, will do tomorrow @323 , I'll update the thread afterwards. And @webby I'm still getting about 500rpm of rev hang when short shifting at low rpm. Under hard acceleration it was hard for me to tell from day one.
There were two basemaps. " hondata stock reflash" and one other option that didn't seem very professional like " hondata basically tune" or something of the sort. Along with the others for rbc and such, just 2 that seem to be what I'm looking for. I only tried the hondata stock reflash...
I hate to bring up old news or ask a question that can be answered elsewhere but I can't find a thread anywhere on it, nor do I know who to ask. I just bought my flashpro and got it all hooked up and registered. My car is completely stock so I'm trying to just run the reflash basemap. I clicked...
Are these still for sale? I'm very interested. I read all the previous comments but my main concern wasn't answered. Are these from a coupe or sedan???
Bought a used 2011 si with 15k miles for $18900 and after taxes and extended warranty and including the interest I would've paid just over $23,000. BUT! The headgasket blew within 24hrs of me buying it so I got hooked up with my 2012 si.. Never even had an interest in one.
I ended up getting...
Thank god I'm not the only one. So is it they are JUST marked backwards? I was eary about swapping the spring left to right and every bump I hit my mind goes crazy haha.
Camber arms aren't neccessary unless youre looking for a perfect alignment. I dig the stance look and the sportlines gave me -2 degrees camber in the rear which looks pretty good with the drop. The fronts went to I believe just under -1 ish but the alignment was barely in the red.it would wander...
Yes I did!! I didnt notice until I was backing off my lift. It scraped some of the powdercoat off. I just took a die grinder to the caliper a bit. All better.
Sorry I havent replied to any of this but ive been real busy. I only installed the eibach bump stops on the front. The only time i hit them is over crucial bumps I didnt see haha. The ride I feel is better than stock and sounds better when you hit bumps. Stock seemed very loose with tons of roll...
First off for those of us with warranties; I believe Im correct by saying if my dealership hooks up their diagnotic computer to a 9th gencivic, they are capable of seeing the last time the ecu was accessed VIA the data link connector. If that is a valid statement would there be any eyebrows...
