2012 Si Coupe all stock (1200 miles): best out of 5 was 15.08 @ 93.6 pulling a 2.27 60ft. Most in the 15.1-15.3 range at 92-93. Really struggled to launch cleanly. Not new to drag racing, but fairly new to the 9th. 56 degree track temp at 700ft elevation.
+1 for this!!! I just came back from a 600 mile round trip and those were my exact thoughts. Couldn't find a combo that didn't make me fidget within an hour. Never had this problem in my 8th or my RSX. Plus, I'm 6'1" and if I have my hair geled, my head rubs the roof line if I don't lower...
+1 for RBC swap and dump the Injen. 3.5 custom CAI or wait for one to hit the market. 220+whp is easily attainable with that plus your current setup. You can used your stock airbox with the RBC until a GOOD intake is available. Your car is suffocating for air at the top end. Look how flat it...
The best part about the video is that they DYNO with the hood closed. There is NO airflow under the hood, no matter what size fan you put in front of it. Since the factory box is sealed against the hot air, the dyno's look terrible for any open element filter because its sucking in SCORCHING...
They should. A coworker of mine bought an Elantra for his 50 minute to/from work highway commute. He has NEVER seen 40mpg in almost 20k miles. It got worse mileage than my Civic LX-S that was only rated 36mpg highway.
New to the site-
Just purchased a 12 Si Coupe in Kansas City-
$20K flat including 500 dealer cash before TTL. They had 4 other coupes Si coupes on the lot. No sedans in a 6 state area. Definitely the time to buy leftover '12s.
