Thank you very much webby! I didn't realize the soft feeling of my shifter was a result of worn out bushings! I'll purchases these guys right away.
Cheers
I've had my SI for about 3 years now and I've noticed that the shifter is starting to feel too soft when I shift into gear. I'm not sure if this is a bad thing, but I recall before that I would get a nice Mechanical feel, and a nice kind of cliking sound to know that I'm in gear.
I've grinded...
Thanks for the suggestion guys. I broke the tab on the lower half. As of right now I think everything is sealed properly as far as i can tell as I couldnn't even move the top part and I used a lot of strength. I'll zip tie it though to add that extra security before I replace the lower half...
Hi guys,
I posted this on another forum but wanted to get people's opinions here. I recently tried to replace my air filter for the first time. Everything was going smoothly until I tried to close the filter box. I didn't realize you were suppose to clip the box at the two tabs at the back so...
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend any good bodyshops in Toronto? I scratched the side of my civic from a curb which I took too sharp. Thankfully, the scratch is only on my HFP side skirt and not the actual door, so hopefully there is no chance of rusting. However, the scratch is about 1.5 feet long...
Not sure if I'm answering your question, but I'm buying the rims / tires all on one package. I'm actually buying them from my boss. He needs to know what size i'm looking for. So I just told him 205/55R/16 , so I assumed that means he'll get the tires already fitted on the rims?
205/55R/16 is essentially what Honda is saying that I need. But I don't want to go with Honda since I found someone who will sell them for me for cheaper. So I will just suggest the 205/55R/16 size just like the dealer said. Thanks all :)
Hi all,
I'm a completely noob when it comes to sizing tires. I'm looking for winter rims / tires. The person I'm getting it off of is asking me what size I want. I saw on another form that I can use 205/55R/16. Is that all I need to tell him or is there additional information that he needs? I...
Hi All,
I've been using my RED HFP Floor Mats all summer and fall, and part of December. Unfortunately, before I got my winter rubber mats, it had already snowed here (I'm in Toronto), and I managed to get salt stains on my HFP carpets. They are also pretty dirty from excessive use over the...
I went to three honda dealerships here in Toronto. They all told me that regular gas had to be used as well. Fortunately I did my research and saw that the SI should take premium. I'm amazed by how many honda sales ppl are saying that regular had to be used. When I told the sales person that it...
Here are the pics btw for anyone interested. All I've done is add touch up paint. Due to the location of the dent, I cannot apply Paintless Dent Removal without cutting the hood at the back. Out of all locations the rock had to hit...UGH. I've installed the OEM hood deflector, which hides the...
Hello All,
Today as I was driving on the highway, one of those construction trucks cut me off and a giant rock flew off from the back and hit my hood. There is a very noticeable dent, with some of the paint scratched off. Unfortunately I don't have pictures right now, but I can show everyone...
I think you are right, there is no edge that I can feel so its most likely not a scratch. On the long wknd, I went on a 300km road trip with the Si. I had waxed the car PRIOR to me going on my trip, so thats why its hard for me to believe that the "road tar" is underneath my coat of wax. I'm...
I'm using Meguairs Claybar Kit. I'll try claying it again and adding a bit more pressure. I'm really hoping its just road tar. I thought it was odd when I ran my finger through it, I didn't feel any roughness to it.
Come to think of it, when I run my finger through it I don't really feel any roughness to it (The car has also been freshly wasxed). Perhaps I didn't add enough pressure with the claybar? I used a tiny piece of claybar (bout the size of a quarter) so I might try a larger piece and see if that'll do.
