All I need is the SB8125L bleeder right? Probably a dumb question but I've never bled brakes/clutches before. I assume nothing needs to be done with the brakes but just making sure since you mentioned it!
Anyone able to get the track names to show up, as they do with iPhone and USB, when using bluetooth audio? I have a Galaxy S4 so the USB plug-in doesn't work for me, and I always use bluetooth. It would be nice to see something other than random numbers pop up for each track selection.
Thanks, @the insider! That all makes sense. When you mention breaking discs, I assume you mean when driving very hard and probably also with very sticky tires, right? I haven't done much research on it, but almost sounds as if a clutch upgrade may be best for these cars when the time comes to...
I see you left out the next class 'down', Ultra High Performance. Is there a specific reason for that? Are the max performance tires just the better option for the money usually or something?
Question for the OP - I have that same oil filter wrench you show in your pictures, the plastic one. When I tried to get my oil filter off with it yesterday, the plastic was too soft and it just slipped over and over. Does yours do that, and do you have any tips for overcoming that? I may go...
It must be the American / Asian car difference I'm adjusting to! Still though, would changing the bushings and/or shifter do anything to alleviate some of this?
Okay, if that's the way the car is built I'm good with that. But as you mentioned, something unanticipated popping up that requires acceleration can make for a hairy situation if you're needing acceleration right then. My truck never gave me issues like this, but maybe the shifter was so long...
@KennyGS , of your two examples, only when shifting 4th to 2nd. Shifting down one gear at a time (4th to 3rd to 2nd) feels fine even if it's just quickly in and out of 3rd without releasing the clutch. @JonnyRotten I hope you're kidding lol.
I've noticed something in my '13 Si and I'm wondering if it's normal or not. If I shift down 2+ gears (6th to 4th or 3rd, 5th to 3rd, 4th to 2nd), it is pretty difficult to get the car into the lower gear. There is a lot of 'rubbery' feeling resistance. I even tested it while sitting still with...
Interesting about the drone with the Q300. I have a 20+ mile commute to work every day (40+ round trip), so highway drone is a no-go for me. The search continues, I suppose.
So it seems Honda did a great job on the intake side of things with this car, and almost all bolt-on power increases will have to be made on the exhaust side (and with tuning). The PRL intake possibly being the exception.
I'm thinking about picking up a Dr. Color Chip kit and giving it a shot. Before I do - any opinions on it? If I end up getting it, it will probably be Monday afternoon.
...Are you serious? I know Japanese cars have notoriously thin paint but this seems kind of ridiculous.
How does Honda touch up paint work? You just clean and dry the area, and apply it? One step process?
