Take it from a guy who's been there and done that
Best Value Suspension for daily driver: HFP Suspension (dampers and springs)
Best Value Rims for Looks: Enkei RPF1
Best Value Tires for performance: Hankook Ventus
With that combination I guarantee you'll be happy with how your car looks and...
The red h badge is for type-r hondas. If your going for badge envy why not kick up the "go-hard or go home" mentality and put some AMG badges on your civic instead?
BE WARNED: Slotted rotors may help you stop better but they will eat through pads, if daily driven. That's why only weekend track toys and supercars are equipped with them.
I suppose, this is how the 8th gen owners viewed the 9th gen si owners. "The civic isn't an enthusiast car anymore, They sacrificed it's raw and high revving nature for more torque, fuel economy and reliability"
The more things change, the more things stay the same...
Type R is one step above the Focus ST and VW GTI. The Focus RS and Golf R compete with that.
As for the Si, it's now officially a slower VW GTI. Especially with 5700rpm redline.
Not worth it... they had 4 years to look at their competition from Ford and Volkswagen and they learned nothing. The Si doesn't compete with the GTI and the ST anymore. It competes with the Elantra Sport (201hp) and the Sentra SR Turbo (198hp).
I know this is an old thread but the SI has to have a greater towing capacity because of the torque-y engine and beefier transmission. I still can't fathom how a CVT tows anything.
