Not really. Very stringent annual testing of vehicles would preclude that. The obvious solution would be to obtain (for the UK RH drive) a left hand side fog lamp. Similarly if left hand drive cars want two, simply but a right hand drive rear fog lamp. Very often the wiring is already in place...
European Civics ( hatchback 2013) are fitted a rear fog lamp on the rear nearside. Is the identical looking non operative one on the nearside a complete dummy or is there a bulb holder there, or alternatively is there an easy method of connecting it so there is an operative rear fog lamp on...
It's good practice to remove the filler before draining the oil, just in case you can't get the filler out. Being a fairly new vehicle this would not be a problem.
