That's true, didn't realize you went from 2.5" to 3" as well..
I'm sure that you've seen the dyno tests that RCautoworks has done with the PRL/skunk2/Acuity intakes?
These tests were done on a stock intake manifold if I remember correctly, kinda makes you wonder why you aren't seeing a...
I would of expected more gains from the downpipe but also the fact that it is catted might not have helped..
I had my car on the dyno with just a 3" catless downpipe and tuned by vit and was at 190whp/161wtq.
I will be putting on the RBC manifold and this intake in a few weeks, can't wait!
I was more concerned about the 4 bolts from the TB lining up with the IM
If the J35 TB has a wider opening, i'll have it port matched. Heard it might not do much but might as well do it while its out.
Thanks for the reply @procivic
I believe I found a J35 throttle body from a Crosstour that has the MAP sensor on the top.
Hopefully I can find a throttle body spacer and an intake that works with the J35 throttle body.
I would like to go with the Acuity intake, just need to find out if I...
Thanks @webby
I thought I would message Vit to see what he says : As long as the map sensor is post throttle plate on the TB your'e OK.
So I have to use the J37 ZDX throttle body since it has the MAP sensor on the TB itself.
I bought a used RBC where they have welded shut the MAP sensor connector, I will be keeping the stock throttle body.
What kind of problems would this cause if any?
I'll be buying the intake in a few weeks and I would like to put a water resistant layer as well for peace of mind.
I have used a Injen Hydro Shield before and never had any issues.
Would you know the dimensions of the filter? I might be able to find one that would be the correct size.
Yes I do agree that between 3500 and 6000 I might loose a bit of power but considering how rarely I will be in that range of RPM I still think it would be worth it.
I don't plan on going turbo or supercharged anytime soon.
I know you most likely talk from experience but i'll take the small power gain up high and lose a little down low in the RPM.
If I see gains between 5800 and 7600 RPM then that is all i'm looking for.
I currently have the stock intake so...
Helps alot actually! I had my mind set on the PRL CAI for the longest time but recently heard alot of good things on this Acuity intake.
I already have a 3" downpipe and catback, gathering a few more parts for the RBC and with this intake hopefully I will be around 215whp as well.
I have a skunk2 dp and catback and also had alot of exhaust rattle.
It was hitting at all the same spots as everyone mentions, the muffler and the heat shield bolts.
The middle hanger near the resonator was sitting too close to the bottom of the car.
Probably spent a good 4-5 hours trying to...
