Well guys,
Finally got my torque solution hangers on, and what a PITA they are! I love how stiff they are but I am still having the occasional vibration from the axle back hitting the spring on an uneven or angled road.. I feel like the exhaust sits closer to the spring even after...
did you end up upgrading yours too? did you have to take the exhaust off? I am just trying to mentally prepare myself as putting on my exhaust wasn't the most fun lol..
lol please don't hurt the kitties! but I also cringe when I just hear the consistent rattle from under the car. I haven't cut off the bolt stud, but I most likely just eat the 50 bucks for better hangers. I really don't want to take the exhaust off to do it though. I'm already lazy lol
Hey guys, just wanted to close this out, but I did figure out the problem.
looks like my smart self didn’t tighten the battery extension post on the positive side... :shady: I ended up just taking out the battery, installed the post, tightened the post on the battery and reinstalled everything...
Ahh.. that's no good. I feel like I have it sitting in a good spot at the moment with no tension. My fingers are crossed that it doesn't start acting up again... on the positive note, I do like the much improved IATs the car is seeing.
I did a check and everything seems pretty snug. The only thing I confused about is the battery extension piece that goes onto the positive terminal. Mine has always been shaky, but I tightened the hell out of it. I know this piece just 'sits' on top of the terminal though, but I don't like how...
I am not sure, the wire doesn't look frayed or anything, All I did was cut open the loom around 4-5 inches since the battery cable was tugging pretty tightly on the connector. I didn't touch any additional wires though. I am not sure what else to do. I hate getting into the car and resetting my...
Hey guys,
I recently installed my PRL Battery relocation kit to re-route my short ram from the heat. I followed basically the same procedures as the DIY for the PRL Cold Air Intake install by dspizzle as he nicely describes how to install the battery tray.
I removed the brown clip that was...
Sorry I didn't update James... :)
It turned out that I needed to completely let my car 'relearn' itself after my upload. What I did was:
1) Unplug the negative cable and let the car sit for 15min
2) Replugged and re-uploaded the calibration
3) Turned on the car with HONDATA still plugged to...
@ron v I was looking at those FKX subframe braces for my SI. But I heard that you had to remove the underbody cover (diffuser) to rock one of these. you are driving without yours right?
Thank you for the response's guys. I would agree that it should show some kind of value to allow air in at idle. My temporary, MAP based tune showed the plate a 3% today, and it seemed to idle just fine. IDK.. but yes @ruddyrid, I just have the stock throttle body. Nothing crazy.
@Jake LXer...
Hey guys,
I am currently working on getting my car etuned. My tuner pointed out that on my datalogs, my "Tplate" value is averaging between 4-5% open on idle. Thinking that my P2R spacer was the culprit, I removed it tried a new datalog. After retightening all the bolts, the car's tplate still...
Thank you @webby.
I temporary put the old map on and the car is running normally. I guess I will just have to wait until they get back to me. Thank you for the help!
Yes, I just shot them an email, but they won't get back to me till next week :( They are on vacation lol.
@ron v - True... maybe i'll just flash it back in the meantime until they are able to assist. I am currently with E-tunez. Vittuned isn't accepting any more cars at the time.
What’s going on 9th Gen Family?
I have been running a Generic Basemap for a while (around 1500 miles) for my PRL intake and Catless downpipe, and so far no issues with the drivability of the car. I finally decided to stop being lazy, and forked over the money for a tune. After getting my first...
