Meh…..when’s the hatch coming back? lol

The manual driving mode selection and standard Recaro seats are nice.

Why did they put the black plastic around the wheels.

I was waiting for your "where's the hatch" comment lol Quite a bit of comments I'm seeing are people upset no hatch. While I'm not a fan of hatches they are popular!

As for the plastic.... I'm not sure. Reminds me of the Crosstrek which I'm not a fan of.

Next year I think for the STI. Maybe for that variant, the horrible plastic wheel arches and awful bumper will be body color. The whole black plastic crap just reminds me of the Chevy Avalanche. That material is gonna look like crap as it ages, it's not going to make it easy to wax the real paint, etc. I thought car companies learned those lessons 20 years ago.

I drove by a couple of Outback wagons this morning in that hideous orange color and all the plastic cladding.

Maybe it was a Crosstrek. Same thing….ugly orange and lots of plastic cladding.

…and to think I was looking forward to this car…

20% bump in engine size with 3 HP extra (should’ve learned from K20 to K24 on Si). That was 4 hp…

Each new car generation seems to be uglier than the last, especially in the last few years…

The special color is borrowed from a lower model elsewhere in the manufacturer’s repertoire (see newer TRD Pro trucks borrowing milky green from RAV4)…
