3 inch downpipe to 2.75in catback... bad idea?

Hello all.

So i got Skunk2 alpha catless DP with full race catback. It is a little bit too loud and i dont like the police attention and i would like to go to a invidia Q300.

As far as i know the DP is 3inch diameter, and the Q300 is 2.75... any bad effects to this?

My car is tuned by RCAutoWorks , i use it for daily, autoX and track days.

In other words: "Is it bad to go from a large downpipe to a smaller catback?"

Eventually I will supercharge, but that womt happen for like another 3 to 4 years.

It's going to hinder performance on a small scale. If I had to guess, maybe 3-5hp difference. I'd keep your exhaust if you're planning to go supercharger later.

So maybe try and get some extra reaonators? Its just too loud.

Why don't you just get a catted 3" full race dp? That way you'll keep everything 3".
