I run an Alpine type S 12" and an equivalent Alpine amp to power it, but recently I've been playing around with the amp LPF from anywhere around 60hz to 140hz, I generally don't play my bass very loud, and I run a flat EQ on the factory head unit (premium audio version)

Does anybody know what is safe to run your LPF at?

Because I very much enjoy my LPF at 140hz more than anything lower than that, the midbass sounds so much more crisp and punchy and it helps to even out the booms.

I just want to know if I'm running the risk of blowing out my sub running higher frequency LPF's although on my Alpine type S box it says that it can go up to around 200hz of frequency response
