My car: 2012 Honda Civic Ex Sedan
Color: Black

Questions:

1. Is it possible to put an after market dual exhaust system on this model car?

2. If so, what recommendations would anyone have for a deep tone exhaust system (that isn't annoying loud)?

3. Is there an after market rear bumper that would accommodate a dual exhaust system?

1. anything is possible
2. nothing off the shelf is made for dual exhaust
3. no bumper. Even the si bumper is just a single cutout in the bumper for the exhaust. You would likely lose performance by actually doing a dual exhaust, and then you'd have to deal with trying to create a bumper with two cutouts.

.02 - just go with 1 exhaust.

I've been having a difficult time finding even a single exhaust that is compatible for my car model. Do you know of any? Everything I've come across seems either to be for the Si or for 8th generation and below.

There aren't a lot out there. One issue is there isn't a bumper cutout, so you have to take that into account. Some people swap to the SI bumper so you don't have to worry about that.

8th generation si oem exhaust is an option -

No, it would need to be a non-si specific exhaust. An axle back exhaust for the 8th gen si would work 2006-2011), but most aftermarket si exhausts are catback. That link I posted above shows the flange problems with the si.

To be specific, I am looking for a cat-back stainless steel exhaust system that will give me a nice deep tone versus a loudly annoying high pitch sound. I prefer to have a 4 inch tip outlet diameter.

If I have to change my bumper to do this, that’s something I willing to do. I am just having a hard time finding what I’ve described for my car.

cat back will not work. Only axle back if you're looking at SI exhausts from the 8th gen (2006-2011).

find a muffler shop and talk to them about your idea. Most of them weld and can probably do it, either the hangers are going to be longer so the muffler sits lower, or the tips are going to be S shaped and come out under the bumper

Not a 2012, but closest thing ive seen. The owner actually drove a base or ex model and switched to an SI rear bumper. He had to cut the plastic off the diffuser to fit the 2nd exhaust.
