My uncle and I are having a friendly debate on who's car is faster. I have the 12 Si and he has an older Audi TT quatro (225hp version). His is maybe an 03 or something. Everything I've looked up so far has the Si a tiny bit faster. He never pushes his car though so I haven't been able to guage it yet. He said one time he had it up to 147 mph and had room for more. I've had mine up to 131 and it was still climbing but slowly. Anyone in here have experience with the Audis?

Take both to the track and compare 1/4 times. :D

Haha yeah its probably going to be an ongoing thing. Just wondering what you guys opinions were. I think I could take him.

He probably makes about the same or a little less to the wheels and outweighs you by a few hundred pounds. It would likely be a driver's race, but you should be a little faster. From a dig though the awd would be a pretty big advantage.

The awd is an advantage, but I think the driver will make the difference.

I would make a friendly wager, then go to a track to settle it once and for all.

TT is 200kg more as far as i know and has a lower redline. On grippy tires and dry asphalt the Si will be few tenths faster I think. I assume we talk about the 1.8 quatro 1390 Kg 225 HP 207 lbf/ft Top speed Audi should win but 0 to 60 the Si.

These guys claim a 6.0 for the 2012 Si and 7.2 for the 2003 1.8. Honestly not sure about the 6.0 but stil 6. 3 should be fair.

I know from personal experience my Si is faster than a 1.8 TT on dry asphalt.

I would time a o to 60 in each with both on board, no need to race on the road or put money down to go to a track. Should be fun :)
