The top 10 vehicle list for 2012 is out, and Honda has claimed three spots. You've already read that 2012 was the best year for the automotive industry in the United States since the 2007 fallout with close to 14.5 million passenger and light commercial vehicle deliveries, but which ones were the best of the best in terms of sales?

There's no surprise with the overall winner, which for the umpteenth time is the Ford F-Series pickup truck range that easily beat the rest boasting a sales difference in excess of 50% from the runner up, the Chevrolet Silverado truck.

Japanese carmakers occupy six places in the top 10 list with the rest going to American brands. Cars missing from 2011's top 10 include the Ford Fusion and the Chevrolet Cruze, which were replaced by two Honda models, the Civic compact and the CR-V.

So Honda came in 2nd & 3rd as far as "Cars" go...........

I'll take the Accord over the Camry.

i wonder why they add corolla/matrix, but not chevy/GMC trucks? oh well, considering the '11 wasnt even on the top 10 speaks volumes that the 12' wasn't a bad decision for Honda.... also rumor has it since the economies doing better, cars will start to increase in prices ..... :(

hehehe true that .... but Hondas trying to save face .... also we'll see if interest rates go up .... I'm still impressed how i financed a DX in 2001 and an EX in 2012 for the exact same payments over 60 months ... but then again the small car segment has changed alot .... :) I'm still giggling to myself, the 2001 civic was on the top 10 do not buy used list, other than little things any backyad mechanic can fix, its been an amazing little car ....

Well good thing Honda listened to critics and rushed the update.... Oh wait, it outsold almost every 8th gen year... Sh!t
