Bump...anyone, anyone else registering?? Anyone will be there for one and a half days besides FRDRICE? I'm pretty sure Connor is coming as well but he's usually one of the last ones to register.

@Nix , is the better half going to come this year?

Nein, she hates the ridings in the cars. I took her once last fall to go horseback riding at Fontana, and show her the Dragon hoping she would like it and want to drive it, and we got a ticket. So she's totally against me even going.

Paid.

Still driving my Grannie's Civic. With extra rice.

Might be reserving the V8 rental car today, don't worry there will still be grilling and dinner every night.

Added to the list! I heard about the ticket last year.

You could have flown into Knoxville..... that airport is an hour to Fontana. On the budget-rent-a-car website for that location they apparently will rent you a Camaro SS......

Although ATL has Hertz, which means Dream Car Collection, but ah! Not available in Atlanta!

Sixt has a Corvette available those dates and an Audi A3.....

Porsche HQ is just next to the airport though..... what are you getting......

I could've rented a Vette or Cayman, but the price with all insurance (remember where my final destination will be after all, it's not like driving in the midwest) was more than I wanted to pay for 4 days of fun.

So I rented something that I could realistically buy if I wanted to. And I checked the Knoxville airport and couldn't find anything decent available. Also, the flights from Philly to Atlanta were much cheaper than flying into Knoxville. Flying from large hub to large hub opens up a larger number of possible flight options and lower cost.

I could switch my rental to a Mazda 2 shitbox and kill some Camaro SS / Mustang GT owner's ego again like I did with the RS the past 2 times.

But all the cool kids use paypal...can't wait to have you back again this year!

Nice @death_roll cant wait to see what ya got

It's fast in a straight line, but I don't really wanna lead group drives this year because it's not a handling car, I might bring some tools with me and disconnect the mufflers to make it fun.

I did check out flying into Knoxville because the trip would be nice and easy, but Atlanta was a better choice because I get to drive up blood mtn. on the way up / down.

What day/time are you arriving? Just checking if we will be heading up the same day.

I'm flying in Wednesday the 16th, flight is supposed to arrive around 12:30PM but with American / US Airways it can be anytime.

Thanks @death_roll ... REALLY looking forward it. (And i do have a PayPal account... I just refuse to link more than a credit card to it)
Has an itinerary been posted yet?

En, just pay me in person, doesn't matter at all, I'm flexible.

I'll post up something about an itinerary, similar to last year but I want to get out on the roads much earlier to avoid traffic, I'll see Wednesday about how my big boat rental will handle and determine if I want to lead up Moonshiner / Wayah Rd / Dragon. Also, we gotta do the loop near Waynesville (rt 276?) this year as well per yours and @Nix suggestion.
